Jonathon Saunders For Escada...Very Nice!

Scotland represent! What great news for St Andrews day! So it looks like Jonathon Saunders has been enlisted by Escada to create a line that will be a part of their resortwear launching next year. I'm looking forward to seeing it, and of course, proud of my fellow scot!

I saw this skirt on sample around June, and it was featured in Topshop's A/W magazine, and both times I fell in love; the skeleton print, the sheer fabric, now it's arrived instore just in time for uniform, it was meant to be.

ELLE EDIT DECEMBER.

I had the pleasure of assisting Rosa-Safia Connell, fashion assistant for Elle, for the day last week at a pop-up magazine event at Topshop Manchester Arndale, where she attended as a guest speaker.

To work for Elle is my dream job so even running around in heels under the piles of clothes, shoes and accessories she was pulling, I still felt highly content. She will now be my inspiration as she is from the small town where I was also born, so it shows you don't have to be from the city to make it big in this industry, just alot of hard work.

When I saw this photo it instantly made me want to go out and buy something this colour, I think I need to remember that just because it's forecast to snow today doesn't mean I always have to stick to the usual black and grey.

40 Pairs of Louboutins!

I was reading the news on style.com this afternoon when I was in my retail lecture (naughty me!) and apparently our favourite gossip girl left the Christian Louboutin invite only sample sale with over 40 pairs! She claimed they were not all for her, but really if I was at a Christian Louboutin sample sale and had a Gossip Girl pay packet I would most likely stock up for the next year!

Blake was also featured on the cover of Vogue's best dressed issue this year. Watch out Lively, Bell and Lee are going to take your place one day!

It's finally here...what we've all been waiting on for months. Having a student bank blanace and workload, I unfortunately had to spend the day in the library when the collection was launched, but at least I saw the preparations!

I was supposed to be researching my pre-chosen category of Zara Boyswear aged 2-8 years for a University assignment today, when of course I happened to click on the new Winter Lookbook just released. I want to shop now.

Throwback.

Some mixed images from my last week. I was gratefully donated some back issues of Elle, Marie Claire and Vogue magazines from one of my lectures (why he'd want to part with them is anybodys question) but all the same I have given them a VERY loving home on my book shelf. As I'm reading through, the only thing keeping them from being today's editorials is the grainy print on the photos which line the pages; all the styles however could easily be seen on anyone of our fashion bibles today. Which leads me to my main thought this week, has fast fashion become so fast that now whatever we seem to want to wear today is tomorrows newest trend?

Victoria's Secret Live Show, NY

Its the event where every man is desperate for a ticket, and every woman wishes they were one of the models. The Victoria's Secret live show from New York featured perfomances from Katy Perry and Akon, and a host of celeb guests including Paris Hilton and Natasha Bedingfield. As for the designs of these outfits...truely phenomenal.

Quite possibly the cutest legging/boot combination the world has ever seen... I am most definitely in love!
